Terms & Conditions
1. Our Services
Modish Home provides interior design consultations, styling advice, space planning, colour and finish selections, renovation planning and design recommendations.
All advice is tailored to your home, lifestyle and budget, and is intended to help you make informed design decisions.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits or excludes any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws, including rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
2. Bookings & Payment
Payment is required before or on the day of your consultation unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Your consultation is confirmed once Modish Home has received your payment and confirmed the appointment details with you.
3. Cancellation Policy
If you need to reschedule or cancel your consultation, please provide at least 48 hours' notice.
Cancellations made with less than 48 hours' notice may incur a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the consultation cost.
No-shows are non-refundable.
4. Quotes & Product Recommendations
Any product recommendations, pricing estimates or supplier suggestions are provided in good faith as design guidance only.
Prices, availability, lead times, product specifications and supplier terms may change without notice, and clients should confirm all details directly with the relevant supplier or retailer before ordering or committing to purchase.
Modish Home is not responsible for changes made by suppliers or retailers.
5. Design Concepts
All design concepts, mood boards, layouts, recommendations and digital design documents remain the intellectual property of Modish Home until payment has been made in full.
Once payment has been made in full, clients may use the designs for their own personal home project only and may not copy, reproduce, publish, share commercially or use them for any other property or project without Modish Home's written approval.
6. Joinery Services
Where a project includes custom joinery, Sarah may assist in developing the design through the joinery company she works with.
If you choose to proceed with a quotation, your project will transition to the joinery company. From that point onward, all quoting, contracts, manufacturing, installation, warranties, defects, delays, variations, site work and payment arrangements will be managed directly by the joinery company.
Modish Home acts as the design consultant only and is not responsible for work carried out by the joinery company or its contractors.
7. Scope of Advice
Modish Home provides design and styling advice only.
We do not provide architectural, engineering, structural, plumbing, electrical, building, building consent, legal, financial, valuation or real estate advice.
Clients should obtain appropriate independent professional advice before making decisions that require specialist input or regulatory approval.
8. Photography
With your prior permission, Modish Home may photograph completed spaces for marketing purposes, including social media and the Modish Home website.
No identifying information, address details or images that reasonably identify you or your household will be shared without your consent.
9. Liability
Every effort is made to provide accurate and practical recommendations. However, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Modish Home is not liable for decisions made by clients, suppliers or contractors following a consultation, or for any loss arising from a client's failure to verify measurements, product details, supplier terms, site conditions or specialist requirements before purchasing products or commencing work.
10. Privacy
Any personal information collected during the booking process will only be used to provide our services, communicate with you regarding your project, manage bookings and payments, and maintain our business records.
Your information will not be sold to third parties.
We may share information with suppliers, contractors or service providers only where reasonably necessary to provide the services or manage your project.
11. Acceptance
By booking a consultation, making payment, accepting a quote or proceeding with Modish Home's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
12. Travel
Consultations within the Wairarapa are included in the consultation fee. Travel outside the Wairarapa may incur an additional fee, which will be discussed with you before your booking is confirmed.
13. Digital Blueprint
Your personalised digital design blueprint is intended as a design guide only. All measurements, quantities, specifications, site conditions and product suitability should be independently verified before ordering products, engaging tradespeople or commencing construction.
